About Group 3

Every Easter, HCPT Group 3 take around 10 children with special needs from Cheltenham, and across Gloucestershire, on a week’s holiday of a life time to Lourdes, France.  We are part of a wider organisation called “HCPT The Pilgrimage Trust,” which is a Christian organisation, taking around 1000 children and 4000 helpers to Lourdes annually.

HCPT Group 3 moved to taking children from Cheltenham and Gloucestershire in 2004.  Our group is very much a “broad church” taking people of all faiths and some with no faith at all. Our holiday concentrates on having FUN at every turn, as the photos illustrate! Many words and phrases have been used to describe a week with Group 3 and these are some of them: making new friends; laughing loads; energy sapping; confidence building; spiritually uplifting and the list goes on! Click here for some testimonials.

Lourdes is located in one of the most picturesque regions of France, on the edge of the French Pyrenees and we take full advantage of this, engaging in a wide range of activities from visits to the mountains, the Animal Park, trips to the Forest and Lourdes Castle, to mention but a few!

ABOUT GROUP 3

About HCPT

HCPT is a charity offering pilgrimage holidays, to Lourdes in the south of France, for disabled and disadvantaged people from around the UK and further afield.

Many describe their experience as positive and life affirming; something that they will value for the rest of their lives.

Every Easter, HCPT Group 3 and hundreds of other groups take over 1,000 disabled and disadvantaged children & enjoy a week in Lourdes, staying in hotels with their volunteer helpers.

Each Summer, over 1,500 people, many of them disabled adults, enjoy a week at HCPT’s Hosanna House in Bartrès, near Lourdes.

HCPT is a Catholic charity and its services are open to all. Volunteers and beneficiaries come from all walks of life and from all faiths and none

About the Pig

We’ve had our old logo for over 15 years now and it has served us well but we think it’s time for a change!

Our new logo is this cute little pig.

We were keen to incorporate more of who Group 3 are into the logo and, since we are from and take children from Gloucestershire, a Gloucester Old Spot pig seemed like the way forward!

We hope you like it! Oink oink
